Being Grateful for What You Have

Gratefulness.....what a big word. To be thankful, appreciative.

I was reminded of how blessed I am.....and how grateful I should be.

I had a stressful afternoon with the boys. I was trying to help JC with his homework, and Micah was just grouchy. And, I remembered what happened the last time I let him take a late night. He was up past midnight that night. Tonight, thank goodness, he went on to sleep around 9 a.m.

About a week ago, our dryer stopped drying. I think it was the heating element. However, the repairman that the compound sent only spoke Korean. I have no idea what he did...except that he replace some of the dryer vent and took the tub out. It was just one of those aggravating moments. I took for granted that I would always have my appliance repairman father around. I was agitated that I didn't have the dryer to use tonight.

But then, God reminded me that most people in Korea don't even have dryers...even foreigners! And if they do have it, it is a dryer/washer combo...and takes forever to wash and dryer.

I am blessed with my health, a wonderful healthy family, a place to live in two countries, and loving friends. So what if I have to hang laundry for a few days!

So, I hope can do this in the upcoming days.....

I will take advantage of every moment I have. I will be grateful for what I have. I will be grateful for every person in my life. I will smile and try to  show God's love to every single person I meet.

There are not many churches in South Korea. We have yet to see one in our district! It is so different from where we came from in the US. There is a church on almost every corner.

God, I'm yours to use here in South Korea. Please help me be sensitive to every opportunity....dryer or no dryer! :)
