Fall Fest!
We had a great time at Fall Fest tonight at Willow Pointe Church (our wonderful church family!!!)!

The Ugly Virus!
I haven't blogged in a week! Yikes!
I got sick with a virus this weekend. Then, JC got sick in the early morning hours this morning. He just got back up and playing. He seems to be better. Seems kids get over these things a lot quicker than grown ups!
My family wants to take the boys to New Orleans for the weekend (Zoo and Aquaruim). It will be a good time for all of us.....and great weather!

Spark?
Well, I haven't been successful with losing weight. I found a website a few years ago called "SparkPeople". I did not stick with it. It is a free site that can track your nutrition and fitness.
It was actually started by a guy who started an auction site years ago....and eBay bought him out. He is a multi-millionaire. He decided to put 5 million dollars into this site to help people get their lives back....without breaking their bank. Now talk about sacrificial giving!!!!!
I love it! Hopefully I can stick with it. I know I have to lose some weight before we move. The preparation, packing, and flight will go so much better if I am lighter and more in shape. JC said he would be my trainer. We did some jogging around the house last night and cleaned some today.
So, here we go on yet another journey! We'll just have to be positive and pray this works. I can make this lifestyle change with only one method.....God's help!

The "Drag-on" Week
I haven't posted in almost a week. After watching "Courageous", I had so many "good" intentions. They were just that.
I let "life" take over. It was as if the week just dragged on......
The boys had colds, I felt icky, and I didn't get much of anything done.
I am realizing that life can get the best of us....but we have to choice to let it get us. I did that this week instead of asking God for the extra energy and pump I needed. I sinned against God, my husband, and my children. The sin of stress, laziness and apathy took over.
Praying this week can be different! Stay tuned!

The Resolution for Women: Priscilla Shirer Author Interview
Here is a way that we, women of God, can take part in the Resolution from the movie "Courageous".
Courageous!
Last night, my second choice for a date night (first choice would be my husband!) went with me to see the movie "Courageous". I was sort of nervous about JC going to see this with me. I am not sure what he was expecting. He did get a little antsy about 20 minutes in...but I talked him into staying. He really enjoyed it.
I had to explain a lot on the way home.....things like drunk drivers, gangs, drugs. I feel blessed that my six year old did not know much about it. However, I know that the earlier we teach him how God wants us to handle things like that, the better. It is too late if I wait until he is encountered with it.
The movie went beyond my expectations. It seem Sherwood Pictures just comes up with better and better movies. I loved "Fireproof"! I am praying that I will carry through what I have learned from all the movies this church and group have made.
I will be posting some information about the Resolution. Praying you all will join me in changing our families.
The church that took us in while we were in Texas during my father-in-law's illness and death was called the Revolution Church. Their mission is really simple.....yet so profound.
LOVE GOD, LOVE OTHERS, START A REVOLUTION!
I'm making this part of my life mission............will you make it part of yours??
